🎖️Honoring Wayne Hopkins & All Who Served
This Memorial Day, we are proud to dedicate a new plaque at Pyro Pete’s in honor of Wayne Hopkins, a Vietnam veteran who served from 1965–1967. Wayne didn’t lose his life in the war, but because of it—ultimately to the lasting effects of Agent Orange.🪖
Last year, his widow entrusted us with Wayne’s 7 foot Statue of Liberty, which he treasured as she stood near their home for decades. We sandblasted her, repainted her, and brought her back to life. Now she stands proudly at our f1rew0rks store with a glowing torch, and this weekend we added a plaque in Wayne’s honor—so his service, his sacrifice, and his story will continue to stand tall in our community.🗽
Today, we remember Wayne and all veterans who came home carrying wounds seen and unseen. We honor the heroes who never returned, and those who returned forever changed.
Their sacrifice is the reason we live in freedom. We will never forget.
Shout out to Pilot K**b Awards & Engraving for getting the two beautiful plaques installed before Memorial Day!
