God’s Word is our manual for living. How many times have you bought something that had to be assembled, and you opened the box, threw the directions on a chair, looked at the picture, and tried to assemble the item? Did you get frustrated? How long did it take you to finally get the directions and follow them? We have all done that! Living for God will be the same problem if we neglect reading life’s directions in the Word of God. The Bible was given for the purpose of helping us through life day by day, but it will not help us if we don’t read the directions. Read and Meditate! Life is worth living!

According to Proverbs, we are to take hold of God’s wisdom and not let it go, because it is life to us. How can the wisdom of God be life to us? He is the only One that knows what the next minute may bring our way. If we are walking in His wisdom and listening to His instructions, we can avoid many of the pitfalls of life. If we choose to go our own way, we will pay the price for making our own wrong decisions. We can’t blame God for our mistakes when we do not choose to walk in the wisdom of God’s Word. May we all redouble our efforts to live our lives day by day, guided what the Bible says for us to do.

We must remember that we are to rejoice and trust in the words of God no matter the circumstances we face in our lives. Psalm 33:1-4 KJV

Rejoice in the Lord, all ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. Praise the Lord with the harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. Sing unto him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise. For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.

The Lord, our God, will surround the consistently righteous with His favor. Psalm 5:11-12 KJV
..let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendth them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Thoughts lead to imaginations. What is an imagination? It is a thought put into action. Good thoughts become good actions. Bad thoughts become bad actions. What am I saying? If you have had a bad relationship and you feel that you were betrayed, there are thoughts that come into you mind concerning the situation. You have two options. You can meditate on them, hold them in your mind, let them continue to cause you grief, or you can cast them away and go on with life. Casting away is the answer, but it is not easy. You must have a strong desire to be free from the past. That is when you go to God in prayer and ask Him to help you. He will hear your cry for help. He loves you.

How do you know which path is right? You must know what God’s Book says and you must know it for yourself. Jesus said in the book of John that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He also said I am the Light of the world. We must know Jesus personally - not just know about Him. We get to know Him as we study the Bible, worship Him, praise Him, and obey what we are told in the Word of God is the right thing to do. According to II Corinthians 5:21, we have become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, but learning to walk in that righteousness is a life long experience. We all must take that first step!

The Bible says in Timothy that the foundation of God stands sure. That should be a comfort in this unsure world today. He also knows who of us belong to Him and He watches over us. Let us forsake those things that are time consuming-time wasters and let us concentrate on the eternal things of God. Each day that we live, we should live as if it was the day Jesus would return. If we really consider how close we are to that time, we will have no trouble in putting certain things out of our lives because they are peace-wreckers and time-consumers. Let us as children of God, lift up our eyes unto the heavens and live our lives with heaven in our hearts. Jesus is coming soon. Be Ready!

Each of us is like a little ship on a large ocean. Sometimes the ocean is peaceful, sometimes there is a breeze, sometimes there are storms, and sometimes there is a monsoon. What do we do during these times? Let us remember that we are not to let natural things that take place in our lives become giant problems, but remember that these things will be gone soon, our sailing days will be smoother. The Bible says that the natural things we see today, will be gone tomorrow. Therefore our focus should be on the eternal things of God which never change and will be there tomorrow and forever. Lift up your eyes! Look up! Your redemption draws near!

Are we thankful for the goodness of God in our lives? Sometimes we are not as thankful as we should be. If we have a roof over our heads, shoes on our feet, clothes on our back, food in our stomach, and we are blessed with a job, BE THANKFUL. Why do we complain about our houses, our clothes, our food, and our lives? We must be thankful to God for His great blessings on us. If we have lack in any of these areas, we need to remember that in the book of Philippians we find that God says He will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. We must thank Him that His Word is true and receive with thanksgiving our needs met even before they appear!

Psalm 91 says that God will give His angels charge over us, to keep us in all our ways. They will lift us up to keep us from hurting ourselves. Angels are ministering spirits sent to minister for the heirs of salvation. Who are the heirs? YOU - if Jesus is your Savior. I’m sure that many times the angels have kept us from being hurt or even destroyed. Most of the time we are not even aware that we have angels, but we do. Everyday, we should be thankful to God for His provision. God daily loads us with His benefits. Thank You, Father, for Your great love.

May we learn to walk in the Truth of the Word of God and praise His name. (Psalm 86:11-13 KJV)

Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name. I will praise thee, O Lord, my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore. For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.
