Good morning, this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Thursday, Aug 13th at 9:00 a.m.
The surf at the Pier has a clean little wave coming through. Nothing exciting, but definitely some cruisers and better than the past few days.
Winds are light/moderate out of the W 6 mph. Winds pick up out of the south around noon.
We have a high tide at report time. low tide at 2:19 p.m. . High tide will follow at 8:45 p.m.
Edisto Buoy is 2.3 foot at 5.3 seconds from the SSW.
High pressure has control over our marine area and surf is down for the foreseeable future. Eastern Atlantic tropics are starting to show some life around the Cape Verde Islands off western Africa. Models showing some healthy lows heading west towards the Lesser Antilles by next week. The bad news is that models suggest these lows losing organization once they arrive to the Caribbean islands. One is showing some potential but forecast to stay to the south. Something to watch and keep an eye hope they can survive.
NOAA says: “Strong high pressure centered over the Deep South will keep hot and humid conditions in place through the rest of the week. A front is expected to impact the South Carolina Lowcountry and Southeast Georgia by late this weekend.”
It’s a humid 84* with sunshine. Look for a hot 90* and sunny.

Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook with your Folly Beach, Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday August 12th at 8:00 a.m.

The surf at the Pier is pretty weak ankle high and not looking hot at the moment.

Winds are light/moderate out of the SW 5-10kt and increasing to 15kt as the day prevails. A small chance of showers this afternoon as well.

We have a high tide at report time. low tide at 2:19 p.m. . High tide will follow at 8:45 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is 1 foot at 7 seconds from the ESE.

Good morning, this is Eazy-E with your Folly Beach, Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday August 10th at 8:00 a.m.
The surf at the Pier is looking small and fun, knee to waist with a little texture from the SW winds at 5-10kt. Grab that log and go for a nice easy session.
Winds are moderate out of the SW 5-10kt and increasing to 15kt as the day prevails. A small chance of showers this afternoon as well.
We have a low tide at 12:19 a.m. . High tide will follow at 6:55 p.m.
Edisto Buoy is 2 feet at 7 seconds from the ESE.
Our pals at NOAA predict, “Typical summertime showers and thunderstorms are expected through early this week”. So bring your rain coats to work folks.
It’s a humid 82* with clouds. Look for a humid day and a high of 88*. Mostly sunshine with some clouds today folks.

Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook with your Folly Beach, Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday August 8th at 7:30 a.m.

The surf at the Pier is looking really fun waist to chest high semi clean walls coming in. Winds light onshore. Should have fun surf all day today.

Winds are moderate out of the SE 5-10kt.

We have a low tide at 10:12 a.m. . High tide will follow at 4:45 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is 5.6 feet at 9 seconds from the ESE.

Surf has woken up a bit as we forecasted, although a little more size than we expected. High pressure well offshore and some tropical moisture sitting over the SE coastline. Surf will peak today and gradually begin to fade overnight tonight into tomorrow. Surf then backs off the next few dayz. Looking way ahead in the Atlantic late next week looks like some Storms are coming off the west coast of Africa into the Atlantic that may be worth a watch.

It’s a humid 80* with clouds and rain. Look for a humid day and a high of 84*. Mostly overcast today folks.

Sunrise is 6:36 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:17 p.m.
