Meet Bill! Hidden Gem Guitars is thrilled to welcome Bill Banks to our teaching staff! Bill is a local Homewood resident and has several openings for new students on Wednesdays! More about Bill: Bill brings over 20 years of experience teaching guitar to students of all ages and skill levels. After studying music and audio in college, he earned his degree from Columbia College Chicago. He specializes in making music theory approachable for fretboard instruments, and is adept at tailoring his lessons to each student’s unique goals, learning style, and musical taste. As a performer, Bill has played at venues throughout the Chicago area, including Martyr’s, Reggie’s, Beat Kitchen, SubT, and the Arcada Theater.”

Beginning Guitar with Izzy! We’re proud to announce that our summer “beginning guitar” series is up and running! These summer lessons are geared towards kids K-8 that are new the guitar. Izzy is a rising senior at HF and plans to pursue music in college. As one half of the local duo .still.fly Izzy can be heard around town regularly and has a wonderful and patient approach helping kids learn the basics. Don’t have a guitar? No problem! We provide rentals for $20 per month! Summertime is the best time to start guitar lessons - contact us today to book a time for your young beginner! 🎸💎🌞

Suite #208 is now open for lessons!! As we enter into our 3rd year of business, we’re very happy to announce that Hidden Gem Guitars has added the adjacent office space, suite #208! This space serves as a dedicated lesson room with its own entrance and waiting area for parents. We are currently booking times for Wednesdays and have a few limited spots open on Saturday mornings as well! Come in and learn your favorite songs!!! 🎸💎

Please join us this Saturday, April 5th, as we celebrate our TWO year anniversary! We’ll have some very special things happening at the shop. Free coffee and donuts, of course. We’ll also be hosting our first “re-string” event! What does this mean? That we have forty packs of strings to give away! (20 electric and 20 acoustic) - as well as other goodies including shirts, hats, etc. The “re-string event’ provides and opportunity to have a professional show you the “proper” method to re-string your acoustic or electric guitar with the gold standard in strings. (Only one guitar per person please, don’t bring your whole collection!) 😊🎸💎
