Happy birthday to CS Mott, born on June 2, 1875! In 1907 Mott moved his wheel and axle-making firm, Weston Mott, to Flint. For the next 65 years he was a key part of the rise of General Motors to be the largest car company in the world. The foundation that bears his name will celebrate it's own 100th birthday this weekend with a family festival at the Flint Cultural Center.

I have often said that Paul’s Pipe shop can repair any pipe. Well here is the proof. Paul T. Spaniola drove over this pipe and crushed it with his Cadillac. It has been on a shelf at the pipe shop waiting for major reconstruction. Paul’s grandson Tom Spaniola has done a fabulous job of putting it together. He are waiting for a special occasion to light it up. We will post that occasion soon.
