Hey Folks,
Just a little safety tip for our fishing buddies. As the water temps cool on your home lakes, it is even more important to be wearing a life jacket when you are fishing and not just when you are under way. Hypothermia is a quick killer in cold water. Let's all be safe so we can continue to participate in this fantastic sport.

Hey Folks,
I know we have a lot of accomplished Crappie anglers out there, but, here is a little tip for some of our beginner Livescope users that may be having trouble getting the fish to bite once they find them. If you are putting your bait in front of the fish and they turn on the bait but won't take it, try lifting the bait away from them at a very slow but steady pace. Don't stop moving the bait as long as the fish is following it or they will turn away. Somtimes those fish will follow nearly to the surface before they take it.

Hey Folks,
Here is a small tip that can make for less tangles in your line. When fishing with two jigs, always tie the heaviest jig on the bottom and the lighter of the two in the upper position. This willl help reduce the tangled jigs when you drop.

With these scheduled showers due this week, we could start to see these fish start moving towards the creeks following the shad. We have some very effective shad colors in the inventory.

It seems the fish are starting to feed up. Our Crappie Slayers in Blue/Chartreuse, White/Chartreuse and Diamond Jim are putting them in the cooler.

Hey Folks,
Here is a little tip that can help with those fish that are short striking your baits. To make the bait appear smaller to the fish, take a small portion off of the jig body from the head end of the bait. Continue trimming until you find the size of the bait they want. This moves the business end of your hook closer to the tail without altering the tail action that the fish are responding to.
