Do you write horror, dark fiction, supernatural tales, thrillers, or stories that keep readers up at night?
Act 2 Books is thrilled to invite you to participate in the NEW JERSEY HORROR FEST! — a celebration of the incredible horror talent right here in our own backyard.
On Saturday, September 12, from 11 AM to 5 PM, we're bringing together some of the best local horror authors for a full day of books, storytelling, conversation, and all things wonderfully frightening!
THE FESTIVAL WILL FEATURE:

Connect with readers and fellow horror fans and showcase your work.
👻 SCARY STORYTELLING & READINGS
Bring your darkest, creepiest, most entertaining tales to life.
🎙 AUTHOR TALKS & DISCUSSIONS
Share your experiences, inspirations, writing process, and love of the genre.
🕷 HORROR-THEMED FUN ALL DAY
New Jersey's darkest tales come to life at Act 2 Books!
And when the sun goes down…
🎬 8:30 PM — MOVIE UNDER THE STARS
We'll be screening Francis Ford Coppola's legendary DRACULA on the lawn.
ONLY 6 AUTHOR SPACES AVAILABLE!
We're keeping the author lineup small and exclusive — just SIX LOCAL HORROR AUTHORS will be invited to participate.
THERE IS NO CHARGE TO PARTICIPATE.
Even better, we'll be putting significant promotional support behind the festival. NEW JERSEY HORROR FEST! will be promoted through print, broadcast, digital, and billboard media, helping us attract horror fans from throughout the region.
And we're not just promoting the festival — we'll be promoting each participating author individually, helping introduce your work to new readers and horror enthusiasts.
This is a great opportunity to meet readers, connect with other New Jersey horror writers, sell and sign your books, and become part of what we hope will be an exciting annual celebration of New Jersey's thriving horror community.
