EVERYTIME we have one of these minerals in our live we are always told that our customers have a piece BUT it was sold to them as something else. I’m typically seeing apatite in cleavelandite sold as K2. The problem doesn’t necessarily come from the seller, but where they source it from (the source calling it one thing and not the actual thing). I am always seeing at gem shows the same marketing. HOWEVER, it is the sellers responsibility to do the research as well. Apatite in cleavelandite comes from Madagascar, most polished in China, China typically calls it K2, which is completely false.
