Our 100-Year Adventure Continues… 🌿

After the 2014 fire changed everything, it was time to rebuild—not just our business, but our future.
This was the spring of 2016….
These photos capture the beginning of our journey at 2700 North Main Street. There were long days, heavy equipment, dirt, dust, and plenty of hard work, but we never lost sight of our goal: continuing to serve the Findlay community we love.

Every shovel of dirt and every step forward brought us closer to a new chapter for Sink’s Flower Shop.

We’re proud of how far we’ve come, and we’re grateful for everyone who stood by us along the way. ❤️

🌹100 Years in Bloom: Our Journey Continues

This week, we’re sharing one of the most difficult chapters in our 100-year story.

In 2014, a devastating fire destroyed nearly 75% of our business. It was a heartbreaking day and one that changed everything.

Through it all, we had so much to be thankful for. Our beloved shop cat, Lily, and Peanut the rabbit both made it out safely. We were also incredibly fortunate that, because we had incorporated our Alpine location, we were able to quickly move our operations to what is now our home at 2700 North Main Street.

There were many long days filled with uncertainty, change, and difficult decisions. Our focus never wavered—we wanted to keep serving our customers, keep creating beautiful flowers, and keep our team together. Thanks to the dedication of our staff, the support of our community, and a lot of determination, we did just that.

Although there was discussion about rebuilding on Second Street, zoning regulations ultimately made that impossible. Instead, we embraced a new beginning and continued growing from our North Main location.

Our story didn’t end with the fire—it was the beginning of a new chapter.

Stay tuned this week as we share more photos and memories of our rebuilding journey and how, together, we rose from the ashes and continued to bloom.

Chuck and the ‘47…what a great memory❤️

Favorite memory of this vehicle?
Tammy Jordan, Ben Campbell and Javan Conley sneaking away joyriding around the south end of Findlay laughing at no turn signals, no power steering and shifting the 3speed on the column and praying it didn’t stall out on us!!! But Chuck…I assure you- we were model employees other than moments like that !! 😊😇😂
