BJ's Smoke Shop and Two Bears Smoke Shop are now hiring! Currently looking to fill morning shifts (6am-2pm), swing shift (2pm-10pm), and graveyard (10pm-6am). Looking for someone who has a flexible schedule and is RELIABLE and can start right away!! Previous barista experience required! Must be 21+ to apply! Weekends a must.
Job Responsibilities:
-Prepare or serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas.
-Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment.
-Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them.
-Provide customers with product details, such as coffee blend or preparation descriptions.
-Take customer orders and convey them to other employees for preparation.
-Take out garbage.
-Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
-Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
-Comply with health and safety regulations
-Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
-Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
-Greet customers entering establishments
-Memorize product locations throughout the store and be able to direct customers or make suggestions
-Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas
-Resolve customer complaints
-Answer customers questions and provide information on procedures or policies
-Perform basic math functions to collect payments and make change
-Operate registers, scanners and credit card/debit card terminals
-Keep the checkout area clean and orderly
Job Requirements:
-Basic math skills
-Excellent communication skills
-Able to stand for long hours
-Able to lift and carry moderate amounts of weight
-Have reliable transportation
-Must have 6+ months cashiering experience
-Product knowledge of merchandise we carry is a plus but not required
-Must be 21+ to apply
-Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication
-Must be able to work weekends
-Self-starter with willingness to learn
