Join us for our next Happy Hour Wine Tasting, Wednesday May 6th, 6-8pm. Whitney Wilson from AHD Vintners will be here sharing rare and unique roses from the Vom Boden portfolio.
Vom Boden is a small company, focused on wines of detail and personality, from human-scaled growers, with the heart of the portfolio in Germany.  These growers work their vineyards in non-interventionist methods that are less about being organic or biodynamic and more a matter of respect for the land, for doing things the right way. They all occupy a sort of periphery, either in terms of their geography or how they work in their respective geographies. Come taste with us and explore the center of the edge!

Thursday 4/23: We’ll be joined by legendary importer Peter Weygandt!
Since 1987, Peter has gained a national and international reputation for the quality of his selections and his portfolio of top “boutique” French wines. In recent years he has expanded his portfolio to include Italian, German, Austrian, Georgian, Spanish and Portuguese wines, more than 120 producers in all.

We’ll be pouring a selection of affordable gems from the Loire Valley, highlighting the diversity of the region with Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, and Cabernet Franc.

Wednesday, 4/22: Catalan Wine Week is here, come celebrate Sant Jordi Eve with us! Diada de Sant Jordi is the feast day of Saint George, the patron saint of Catalonia. It is also known as the Catalan Valentine’s Day and coincides with UNESCO’s World Book Day. Tradition dictates giving a single red rose, often accompanied by a sprig of wheat to loved ones. Friends and lovers also exchange books - this holiday really speaks to us!

Nuria Garrote i Esteve, owner of VinoVi & Co, will be pouring wines from Can Sumoi, the highest elevation estate in the Penedès. This certified organic winery is the spiritual quest of Pepe Raventós, the 21st generation winemaker whose family has been making wine in Catalunya since the 15th century. Pepe’s principle’s are simple: “The more diversity on your property, the more richness there is, the more resistant and strong your vines will be. The fewer treatments they need, the more authentic the wine will be. I left the idea of making perfect wine a long time ago. I think my duty is to make the most authentic wine possible.”
