This picture is in honor of my good friend Karen, who passed away 10 years ago next month. She was my "junkin" friend. The friend who went to The Farm Chicks show with me for several years. She was the BEST person to do this with! What is normally a 6-7 hour trip to get there would take us 2 full days. We would hit every thrift store and garage sale along the way. 😂 Nobody had as much fun as we did or laughed as hard as we did when we went junkin. We stayed at some questionable "motels" along the way, making for some great memories. Coming home, we looked like the Beverly Hillbillies! It wasn't unheard of to leave the empty food tote at a motel to make more room for our treasures. This weekend, I'm at The Farm Chicks in Spokane, missing my good friend but remembering the fun we had.

I love flower frogs. I've been collecting for a while. My favorites are the metal hairpin ones and the green glass ones. Both are hard to find now and usually cost a little more than I'm willing to spend. The lotus one in the first picture is also hard to find, and I couldn't believe it when I found it at a garage sale. I love to stack them. They take up less room that way, and then you can easily make room for one more. 🤭

I'm a Vendor again at Wonderz Market! I'll be selling items from the Whatcom Humane Society thrift store. 100% of the money will go back to the Humane Society. Here's a little teaser of some of the items I'll be selling. I also have a great selection of vintage books and dog clothes. Most of the dog clothes are only $3.00. Most of you probably don't know that I've been volunteering for the Whatcom Humane Society for over a year. I volunteer at the Thrift Store and I love it! Tomorrow I will be setting up a small display with items for sale from the thrift store at Wonderz Market 1215 Cornwall Avenue, from 11:00 - 4:00pm. 100% of the money will go directly to the Whatcom Humane Society. Please come see me, support the Humane Society and support this wonderful Market. Here's a little teaser of a few things I'll be selling.

We celebrated 29 years of marriage today. 🥳
You really can meet someone in a bar, on April Fool's Day, date, live together for 5 years, get married, and still be together 34 years later! 😳 We've had our good times, bad times, joys, and sorrows. I'm grateful that this is the man I chose to spend my life with and that we found each other. 💗
