Update on the status of sewing projects and Alterations, I plan to get back in the sewing room in May at a very slow pace.
I will finish chemo 2/24 and start radiation 3 weeks later. I’m learning that chemo brain is a real thing and it takes time for it to pass, like 3-12 months. This means I will not be able to custom fit all those beautiful prom gowns this year. 😟 I’m going to miss that. Thank you for being patient with me. In the meantime time, I’ll be doing lots on Zentangle and some simple sewing stuff for myself. It’s safer for everyone, lol.

This afternoon I got the news that no one wants to hear, yes, it’s cancer. But it has been caught early and I’m going to fight it with all my might! I have lots of prayer warriors helping me out and this is just a little speed bump in life’s journey.
Unfortunately, I will not be taking on anymore sewing projects for a few months. Thank you for your prayers and I’ll be back. 🙏😊🪡🧵✂️

Beautiful Mother of the Bride Gown. Ready for final fitting this week. I wish I had gotten photos of the other black and gold gown that was delivered last week, so gorgeous! Then there was a solid gold one that was simply amazing! I think I may have a photo of it. I’ll check.

Busy, busy, busy….. when weeks go by with no posts, I’m working to meet sewing deadlines or spending time in Lake City with Aunt Betty.

In April, Mark bought something I had wanted for my sewing room for several years, a Coverstitch Machine. It does an amazing job on stretchy fabrics. It sure beats the double needle in the regular sewing machine. Janome CoverPro 2000CPX.
