I’ve got a big announcement this week. After having worked in this shop for 20 years (9 years for Rick and running it myself for 11 years), it’s time for me to move on and pass the torch to another. I need a change of scenery and a change of pace. I had made plans for this path in 2019 that should have taken me 5 years to accomplish, but with the craziness of the “Missing Year” that we call 2020, my timeline has moved up. I’m selling the shop to Matt and Joe. You may remember Matt as one of my early employees back in 2013/2014. I’m sure they will take good care of you. The current plan is that I will be training them on the Care and Feeding of a Comic Book & Game store over the next 6 weeks. They will officially take over on November 1st.
You’ll still see me around for a few weeks and I’ll be here for Treasure Your Chest 2022 on October 15th! There’s a whole bunch of feelings involved for sure. A little scary, a little happy, a little sad, a little excited. I’ll miss you all.

Hey Everyone! Matt and Joe here. As of November 1st Fantasium Comics and Games will be known as “Midgard Comics, Games and More”. But fear not, that will be the only change we make. We are planning to continue all events, schedules, and orders exactly as before. We are very excited to join the team, I (Matt) loved my tenure as a Fantasium employee and I am looking forward to seeing each and every one of you, and getting to know how I can make your experiences with us as good as possible.
We are sad to see Paula go as we have all been on team Paula for over a decade. We will endeavor to continue to host events such as Treasure Your Chest, Free Comic Book Day and more. We want to keep a sense of continuity going forward, so the store that you have grown to love will continue to grow our community without taking anything away.
