Last year, it was paper taped to the candles. I know what the intention was, but it made me sad and apparently caught fire during one of the final masses of the season. So I offered to add a little vinyl to the advent candles this year instead.

Spent some time over the snow day keeping fingers busy doing these potholders. I haven’t done potholders in ages, but it was just like riding a bike. ;) I may have to do a few more later, but for now, these will definitely work!

Fun little project to keep kiddos engaged while adults chat. The letters had images & patterns from things that interested the kids. Then the kids used washable markers to color them. Then they can be washed and colored again…. Or, use fabric markers to make the color permanent.

Why would you not??!! A wonderful repeat customer requested these koozies and stickers for a group. “Why would you not?!” is a popular saying in the group when asked just about any question. I mean, why would you not?!

Paracord Lanyards for some teacher friend customers. These lovelies are certainly stout and able to take some abuse. One features a regular breakaway buckle and the other has a safely buckle. The district rules require yellow lanyards, so while I can do any color of the rainbow, yellow is the typical color of choice. Each also is complete with a whistle in the lower buckle and a swivel clip for ID cards, keys, or whatever you choose to carry around your neck.
After wearing one personally for the past year, I love that they lay flat and don’t roll up. The stiffness helps when you need to flip it out of your way for a bit, and I never had to worry about it breaking!
I’ve had other customers tell me that they find that these don’t wear holes or create snags in clothing, too! I’ve also heard that they look heavy, but the way they distribute the weight makes them more comfortable than the thin, lightweight lanyards. I love happy clients!

What you see here is 25 Quick Deploy Paracord lanyards that were donated to the Operation Gratitude’s Red White & Blue challenge. These were so quick and easy to make, I encourage everyone to try it out! Each lanyard is made of over 5’ of paracord which can be used to hang IV’s, securing a tent, make a sling or splint and so much more, PLUS the interior strings can be used to sew / patch holes, fishing line, or even sutures in an emergency.
It takes only a few minutes to make each lanyard! I pre-cut the lengths of paracord and took them on a roadtrip where I completed them from the safety of the passenger seat. The RW&B challenge is already over, but they can always use care package items. See their website for all the different ways you can help/participate! They have lots of options from coloring pages for kids, handmade goods, and monetary sponsorship! This wonderful organization sends these packages to veterans, active military and first responders!

I missed posting these after Christmas. These shirts were done by combining things the students in the class loved this year so it’s sort of a time capsule of their interests. So much fun to get it all in!
