A “very rare” guitar, says the Heritage support folks! The Kahler isn’t keeping the high E in tune, so we’ll have a look at that and put on a fresh set of Slinky 9s.

Finally getting to the 1980 Rickenbacker 4001. Unfortunately, the truss rod nuts were inaccessible. You need a thin-walled nut driver, which I have, but you also need to gently bend them up slightly to allow the driver to get on the nut. This was a no-go! I couldn't get clearance under the nuts. It still plays great, even with a bit more neck relief than I'd like. And yes - the body was clamped to my studio desk. This is the way.

A surprisingly good Korean knock-off. Frets needed leveling, nut was cracked at the high E, so it had to go. 5-way switch needed some serious cleaning and is now quiet and all pickups work and sound great. This guitar has little market value but it’s a player!

Very, very cool bass. It's got a balance k**b to mix the pickups, volume with a push for coil-tapping the humbucker, and a tone k**b.

Frets were level but flat, so they got a crown/polish. Replaced the partial sandpaper shim with a proper shim and set it up for C-G-C-F tuning. More neck relief and higher action for this player.

A trio from a local nursing home. The new Lifestyle Director found these sitting around unused and wanted to get them playable for the residents. The Peavey has a lifting bridge which took a lot of wood from the soundboard, and it would cost more than the guitar is worth to fix. The other two just need setups and some cleanup on the electronics.
