DJs of Utah Networking Night is a community event, not something one person hosts. It happens the first Monday of every month.

No cost. No agenda. No RSVP. Come when you can, skip the months you can’t.

It’s not just DJs. Photographers, videographers, planners, venues, florists, artists, AV companies, musicians and promoters are all invited. If you work events in Utah, you’re welcome.

People have made connections for events and rentals, and a few have booked gigs through agencies they met here. Some drive 4 hours to join us.

Some DJs think asking for your song list is handing you homework, and some couples view it that way. I want to share why I don’t fully agree.

How does a DJ make a unique journey for a couple if all they know is their names?

So while you may view building a playlist as homework, it really is the foundation of where everything begins. Give me as much music as you want to give me, give me as little. That list tells us what this particular night is supposed to feel like. It’s the brief. It’s where we build the night to be unique for you.

I played a bunch of events in July. The song counts ran from 41 files to 256 per night. Some nights I’m quick mixing, others I’m letting the songs write out, why because I’m reading a room. I’m not forcing my list.

This past month I had clients who said they love Bruno Mars. I had events the next week that said hell no do not play Bruno Mars. That’s what I love about my job. No two nights are the same.

And it isn’t just event to event. The same annual party doesn’t repeat either. The guest list shifts, the room shifts, the year shifts.

That’s why 374 new songs in three months isn’t a flex about my library. It’s a flex on how unique I try to make my dance floors.

They cost me $566 out of pocket, and that’s not counting the DJ pools, just individual tracks purchased. That has never been a line item on anyone’s invoice, because that is the service you’re getting

As many of you know and have experienced these nights can be refreshing. This is a community hosted event by the DJs of Utah network.

Venue is : woodbine food hall in Salt Lake City.

Every first Monday of the month.

It’s not just for DJs. Photographers, videographer planners, Venues, florists, artist, AV companies, musicians, promoters you are all welcome and invited and anybody in between who is looking to just connect about music or anything event related.

No cost to attend. However, there is food courts if you would like to buy yourself some food.
