Test out Machine Embroidery!
Get ready for a fun filled day of stitching! You'll spend the day stitching up three football themed projects from Parker on the Porch: Football Zippered Bag, Football mini quilt, and a Football Jersey Banner.

No machine? No embroidery experience? No problem! These are great beginner projects and Embroidery machines are provided, so it's a great way to see what machine embroidery is all about! Plus all project supplies and lunch are included, so you can simply show up and enjoy creating.

As you stitch, you'll learn practical tips that will improve every embroidery project you make, including:

When and why to use a topper
What Color Keeper is and how it helps your designs
How to choose between cutaway and tearaway stabilizers
How to add custom text to a purchased embroidery design
You'll also experience stitching on a wide variety of materials, including leather, felt, glitter vinyl, fabric, and more. You'll leave with beautiful finished projects, embroidery designs you can stitch over and over, new skills, and the confidence to take your embroidery to the next level!

The cost is $125 per day and includes use of an embroidery machine, all supplies, and lunch. The event is 10 am -5 pm each day at the Country Inn & Suites.

It's August 1, so it's time for the next in the Home Sewn Series! This mini quilts are so adorable and constructed all in a 5x7 embroidery hoop. Each month has a antique sewing machine in the window and a little mini quilt (mini quilt coming soon! You know how it is those projects get away from you and I still need to print my quilt on the fabric printer). This is month 3 and they're a fast stitch up, so plenty of time to join in to create a new seasonal quilt each month.
