Today, we celebrate the trails that connect us to nature and adventure. Thanks to the stewardship of hundreds of dedicated volunteers, the trails of the Blue Ridge Parkway remain a pathway to discovery and cherished memories.

To honor , volunteer led crews are hosting workdays to clean up trails and ensure they are well maintained for future visitors to enjoy. You'll also find the Linville Falls Preventative Search and Rescue Team along with the Parkway's Volunteer Rovers at Rough Ridge, Craggy Gardens, and Devil's Courthouse out engaging with visitors and promoting behaviors that protect trails, preserve plants and wildlife, and help ensure visitor safety.

Thank you to all trail volunteers and all visitors who recreate responsibly! We hope you get outside and celebrate National Trails Day.

Whether you're hiking a favorite trail or discovering a new one, be sure to enjoy the journey!
