Equipment includes 24 metal spinning lathes, 40 presses, automatic polishing, a full CNC machine/tool room, CNC metal fabrication presses, and a complete finishing department. This array of machinery plus skilled employees allow us to design, tool, and produce our own reflectors, housing and components. Proudly we say we're one of the few lighting manufactures able to produce all of our products "In House".

Watertown Exploratory Labs (WELL) has undergone a transformative redevelopment, featuring extensive building and sitewide upgrades to create a state-of-the-art campus environment. As part of this enhancement, Spectrum provided custom-designed large-scale fabricated rings, incorporating E-base LED lamps and LED integral illumination. Precision-engineered in collaboration with the architect and the builder, these fixtures were mounted to seamlessly integrate into specialized coves and expansive open areas, elevating both functionality and aesthetics.

Happy Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day! Did you know bubble wrap was invented in 1957 by Alfred Fielding & Marc Chavannes while trying to make textured wallpaper? While that idea didn’t stick, bubble wrap found its true purpose as a protective packaging material—and a fun stress-reliever! 💥 Here at Spectrum, we’ve reduced bubble wrap plastic use by 85% in the last 6 years, and when needed, we make our own recyclable, deflatable packs to protect our lighting fixtures for shipping. 🌍♻️ 💡

Interior Design’s Best of Year is the design industry’s premier design awards program, honoring the most significant projects and products of the year as well as recognizing designers, architects, and manufacturers from around the globe.

STR2 can be used with five different track types and is available with six different bezels, four architectural finishes for body and eight for the bezel, for a mix or match customized look. All bezels, except acrylics, feature anti-glare matte black finish and can accept up to 2 accessories, while wall wash has an anti-glare finish but cannot accept accessories. Bias and Wall Wash bezels rotate 360 degrees. TIR optics are field changeable and available in beam distributions from 12° to 60°. TIR optics can be paired with various accessories including hex cell, linear spread and diffusing or clear lenses.

Spectrum Lighting takes immense pride in producing the majority of our products here in the United States of America, specifically at our factory in Fall River, Massachusetts. Recent legislative changes, including the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and the Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act, have introduced more rigorous guidelines for determining what qualifies as “Produced in the United States.” These regulations aim to promote domestic manufacturing and ensure that federally funded infrastructure projects prioritize American-made products.

We have implemented an internal process to supply you with a Letter of Compliance for your next project that requires it.

Spectrum Lighting’s latest AIA accredited course is now available for free through AEC Daily!

“Good” lighting is more than photometric performance: it is an art and a science that is truly greater than the sum of its parts. It must meet the visual needs of many and satisfy a myriad of individuals’ subjective perceptions. Architectural lighting design is a series of planned experiences involving people and spaces that we create by modulating and delivering light. This course discusses a conceptual framework for lighting design that specifiers can use to bring an architectural vision to life with the most powerful medium available to enrich the built environment and enhance the end-user experience: light! This course is actively registered with 28 industry associations and is Health, Safety, and Welfare eligible.
