Happy Mid – Spring!
CLOSURE ALERT!!:
THE SHOP WILL CLOSE AT 4 PM ON Monday JUNE 8TH FOR MY NIECES’ GRADUATION! Congratulations to all the graduates of 2026 at all stages of education!
And the shop will be closed for the 4th of July which falls on Saturday this year!
And the Weekend of July 18, 19 and 20 the shop will be closed for a family wedding! Busy days ahead!
I need to thank all who came into the shop for my 40th anniversary celebration! We had a great week of seeing old and new friends, reminiscing about the beginning days, the changes in the crafts over the years, the gains, the losses of our families, the good times, and the bad! It was a great week filled with laughter and fun! Thank you for all the good memories!
The summer is quickly approaching with promises of colors, summer fun, and good times. With the strange weather we have been having, hopefully your summer plans will not be undone!
I have been posting how to videos for quick and easy crafts on my FB pages….soon they will be available though You Tube and if I can navigate it……..TIC TOK!
Enough of all of that! It’s time to get the summer list of Special classes to you!
This summer’s list is filled with old and new classes, techniques, crafts, and much more! Hopefully we won’t have to cancel for snow (LOL)!
Reminder all classes need to be paid for in order to secure you spot. I can hold an unpaid spot for the popular classes. With the exception of one class, all prices include the supplies. Most classes are from 10 – 2, some may run over that time. You are welcome to bring a snack or lunch with you. Coffee, tea, and water will also be available at no cost to you.
And here we go!
June 27th : Get to know your sewing machine $40
This class is designed to help you learn the stitches and ins/outs of your sewing machine! You will need to bring your machine to class with the all the attachments including feet, manual (you may have to print one) and of course your foot pedal!
By the time you leave you will be able to sew straight lines, designs and more!
July 11th Jelly Roll Rug!!! This will be an all day class!
Two prices: if you have a jelly roll that you want to use, the cost will be $45
If you need the jelly roll and batting the price will be $75. This gives you the leeway to get what you want for fabrics.
I have batting available for the rugs if you need it.
Otherwise it’s included in the class.
You will need to bring your sewing machine with you for this class. Also a walking foot is recommended and some heavy duty needles will be needed.
Class size is limited to 4 people……….if needed a second Friday afternoon class can be added it there is enough interested.
July 25th Beginning Crochet Class fee: $35
All supplies are included in the class fee .
You will learn the basic stitches like single crochet, double crochet and depending on how the class is doing a few more stitches (like the ever popular Granny square!)………..you can do it!
August 1st Felted Coasters $45
All supplies are included: You will receive 2 colors of yarn, a weaving loom, and hook to weave and create some beautiful felted coasters………….you will have then felted before you leave!
And I will show you how! These will make great gifts for the upcoming gift giving season!
August 15th Armish Rug Making $45
All supplies are included in the class, including fabric, and the tool needed to make the rug! This is going to be a fun class and you can make not only rugs but chairs pads, placemats and more using this easy old traditional method.
August 29 th Beginning Knit Class fee: $35
All supplies are included in the class fee .
You will learn the basic knit, purl, cast on and depending on how the class is doing a few more stitches………..you can do it!
That is it for the summer months!
Again, all classes must be paid in advance to secure your spot. Some classes are strictly limited!
I will be back in late July with the fall schedule which will include needle felting with embroidery, Tunisian crochet in the round, and a bit more!
There will be a couple of POP-up painting classes! Watch for those!
