So I needed a cast iron bottle opener for my beer carrier and if you're going to buy one, you might as well buy 30 of them, right? Etsy/Pinterest challenge #1. The tray that I found on Pinterest (by way of Etsy) is the bottom picture, mine is the top picture. All it took was an 8-foot 2x4 that some schmohawk threw away, some paint and stain I had laying around in the garage and a couple of $0.98 handles I bought from Lowe's. Made one small mistake that nobody else can see (but I know it's there), otherwise I'm pretty happy with the end result.

What do you do with your wood scraps? Sometimes I throw them in the fire pit, sometimes I give them to the dog because he's weird like that, and sometimes if I'm in a bad mood I throw them over the fence into the neighbor's yard. But most of the time I turn them into coasters.
