Tim restored this amazing vintage iron sign . After paint stripper , he sandblasted and carefully picked off any remaining paint. Next , he painted it with oil based black paint. Last step was to size, and gild the detailing. They don’t make ‘em like this very often anymore! ⚒️⚒️⚒️

Busy day today! We installed this iron railing we restored , on the second story of a home in Rochester. Many thanks to the roofers who set up scaffolding , and muscled the railing up! At 1:00 , we headed over to Oak Hill Country Club , and reinstalled the sign . Years of oxidation had made it difficult to read . Tim repainted the background , then scuffed off the surface paint, followed by 3 coats of uv light tolerant lacquer. ⚒️⚒️⚒️

Recently restored this bronze sculpture by L. Gregorio 1873. The arms had been broken off the female figure. There were brazed , filed, and sanded to blend the pins used to set the part s together , then a feaux finish was touched up to match the rest of the sculpture.⚒️⚒️⚒️

This art nouveau frame had been cut down in size, leaving broken and mismatched corners. We disassemble it and rearranged the pieces so the detailing lined up properly. Then, glued it and filled in missing floral details with a mixture of lime plaster ,and wood glue. Once sanded , the details were colored to match . ⚒️🎨🖌️

Just wrapping up the detailing on this chariavari . I cut the raised wording out of sterling sheet . Each was cut out with a jewelers saw , drilled with two holes , and had two small pins soldered in place . Then each letter was riveted into the corresponding holes on the shield. A little sanding and minor polishing after oxidizing the area around the wording. ⚒️⚒️⚒️
