Happy New Year, all. We got to hang with Tim for a bit today. He's doing so well, all things considered, and with things trending in the right direction, talk of going home is now a little more real, even if it's down the road a bit.
That said, Tim is still at the beginning of a very long road to recovery so I'd like to ask that you take a look at his story in the below link and consider donating if you can. This, from my strong, beautiful daughter-in-law. She's an ICU nurse, which can be both a gift and curse in a situation like this. She gives me strength every day:

It was sunny earlier. I sit by this window because it is peaceful. It’s not crowded in the waiting room, there are few around me other than health care providers which honestly I derive more comfort from being around them than being with other families. The sounds of the hospital are comforting, explainable, predictable and routine. Today has been exactly that. Routine. No major changes, I have been able to keep the air in my lungs. We have needed this. But with no major changes, comes the overarching possibility that changes can occur. New treatments, another intervention. I wait... I pray for more routine and less excitement for the rest of the day.
