Things from the Basement, LLC is my online store located in Fairfield, CT for dollhouse and wargaming miniatures, with the focus being on wargaming. All kits are highly detailed, yet easy to assemble. Buildings open up for easy access during gaming. Most kits are made of a variety of materials like HDF, chipboard, paper and whatever else is needed to create realistic and functioning models for you

r gaming table. My ranges cover several historical periods and geographical areas as well as Fantasy and Science Fiction. And in case you can’t find what you are looking for: time allowing I also do custom projects! In addition to that you will find complementary products from different companies. Mostly from Europe and not always easy to find in the US like Gamer's Grass amd Stoessi's Heroes.

Let the games begin!
The Public Arena and the Training Arena are now available on our website.
Both arenas are compatible with the upcoming Blood on the Sands gladiator game but are also useful for any other game (Gangs of Rome, Hail Caesar) set in ancient Rome or its provinces.
And just in case - we also released animal cages 🐅🐆
As usual all laser-cut kits are supplied unassembled and unpainted and are scaled for 28mm figures. The 3D-printed hex arena is NOT included in the kit! It is available separately via our website.

After Vikings and Middle Ages, we are stepping further back intime...
🔙.. to ancient Rome, where bloody games and free bread kept the population happy.
Here is a teaser of our first project: a gladiator arena (compatible with a soon to be released 28mm gladiator game).
Over time the goal is to release more buildings like barracks (barracae), armory (armamentarium), owner's (lanista) villa, bathhouse (balnea) etc., to create a complete gladiator school (ludus).

(obviously another below ground hobbyist 😅) made a very nice video of our new Medieval Town Bakery kit. Complete from assembly to painting and some extra work on the canopy. The final model looks fantastic!
Fun fact: This was his first laser-cut kit ever. What a start!
