Join us for the book presentation and the panel discussion " The Decorative Carpet" with Samuel Botero, Carl d'Aquino and Tim Button.
In The Decorative Carpet, design and carpet expert Alix G. Perrachon explores the use of handmade carpets by showing how star interior designers have used them to create a fully composed interior. Penny Drue Baird, Clodagh, Jamie Drake, Thomas Jayne, and Juan Montoya are just a few of the designers... included. A wide array of beautiful handmade rugs is featured from Art Deco to Aubusson and Tabriz to Tibetan.
The featured panelists, Architectural Digest 100, Samuel Botero and acclaimed designers, Tim Button and Carl D'Aquino will share their rug decorating secrets.
For Botero, the most captivating aspect of their creation is how the weaver works personality and vision into a rug.“Great rugs occur with this process,” he comments. “Imperfections and spontaneous variations in a design bring humanity to design, a quality fast disappearing and one that I try to insert into all my projects.” He finds rugs an unparalleled source of color and warmth, and also admires them for being “green,” easy to maintain, and hypoallergenic.
Join our panel of experts – this will be a great opportunity to learn more about their Inspirational Interior Design Ideas. Your questions are welcome!
Wine & Hors d'Oeuvres will be served!
