Timed it just right yesterday and gathered birch bark for this coming year of projects. I really concentrated on collecting 'white' bark this year as most people like white birch bark. There were a couple of brown barks, though, that i could not resist. When you hold these browns up against the light, they are red!

Then I rolled them back up for storage and labeled them this time, so I don't have to open up every bag searching for the right color!

Sometimes I just have to do something different! Tonight was playing with leather punches and rivets. I like it.

Fish Song. Carved bone salmon (i bought them) with abalone beads surrounded by Alaskan birch bark Finished off with niobium earwires and gold chain. $100
