(ARMSTRONG, Neil, Personal Collection). Aviation Week & Space Technology "Gemini 8 Approaches Agena for Docking" Plaque. Originally from Neil Armstrong's Personal Collection, with LOA from Armstrong Family. March 28, 1966, 12" x 14" Aviation Week & Space Technology plaque originally from Neil Armstrong's personal collection, with a Certified by Collectibles Authentication Guaranty and two LOPs (Letters of Provenance) from the Armstrong Family and signed by Mark and Rick, Neil's sons. The Gemini 8 mission was commanded by Armstrong - it was his first flight into space. The Gemini VIII was meant to dock with the Agena, but problems arose and the crew had to abort the mission. This plaque sold through Heritage Auctions on Nov 3, 2018 for $600. Plaque in very fine condition with minor abrasion.
