The Eastman 615GB is a stunning instrument. So many cool and unique features. It has a modernflare but a tone fit for even a demanding traditionalist. Already comes with K&K pickup so it’s road worthy right out of the box.

This MD615 offering from Eastman does not disappoint, and represents all the quality and attention to detail that we’ve all come to expect from Eastman. It’s basically your traditional F-Style mandolin when it comes to performance, but it has a modern flare when it comes to the aesthetics. Nicer woods are used and I really like the scalloped down pickguard which puts my pinky guide in almost the same location as when I play guitar. Makes you wonder why they all aren’t like that. Have you ever gotten your hands on an oval hole mandolin?? They sure are a ton of fun! The round hole and 12 fret neck joint lends to a warm, deep, breathy tone. This style of mandolin goes way back, and is perfect for a variety of styles and applications!

This Eastman 814 has it all folks, an old warm appearance and tone to match! The first time I opened the case and laid eyes on this mandolin I was immediately impressed. Then when I picked it up to play it I was even more impressed. This mandolin plays effortlessly and produces a big airy and bassy tone. The bass notes are thick and fat and the trebles are rounded and have a touch of natural reverb. This one punches way above it’s class.
