Meet the last Bead Bestie

Melissa helped the girls start Bead Besties as a fun way to help these young girls stay connected and learn about entrepreneurship and business ownership. She’s a firm believer in women owned business and wanted to give her granddaughters a start. It quickly grew into something more: a space where their creativity, relationships, and business skills come together in a real life business.
Melissa loves seeing the girls’ ideas come to life and especially enjoys watching each one develop her own unique style and creative voice. Her own favorite pieces to design are earrings, where color, style, and personal expression all come together in the perfect little pair.

Meet the Makers behind Bead Besties!

Marilyn is a 10 year old who can hold her own with her three older brothers. Most days you can find her playing volleyball. She also enjoys afterschool clubs like student leadership, book club, math club, and Art club. Some of her favorite snacks are popcorn and chicken. Marilyn has two pets that she loves very much, one cat and one dog. Her favorite part of Bead Besties is the time she gets to spend with her cousins.
