Fish Camp Weekly Fishing Report
Lake Mary Ronan
Action still great on salmon, try 20 to 25' water with JT Tackle pink or orange Taildraggers. Swedish pimple also work well in same colors. Try near Mt.Meadows resort area or white rock bay area near the point. Perch action picking up with small tube jigs or craw patterns in 12 to 20' water also. If you catch any pike be sure to keep them.
Ashley Lake
Doing well for limits of salmon mostly on the smaller side but great for the smoker. Few nice perch in the w**ds beds. Try live leeches for the perch.
Loon Lake (TCL)
Good numbers of bass being caught on ned rigs or small jerk baits. Try for rainbows out mid lake trolling early mornings with flicker shads. Crappie and pike action been going also.
Flathead Lake (south End)
Polson bay area been excellent for those big perch smallmouth bass has been great also.
Flathead Lake (North End)
Sommers bay action been good for smallmouth few nice pike. Try delta area trolling for lake trout flasher and flys good. Woods bay early mornings with flat fish on bottom. Mid lake bar trolling flasher and flys or brads super baits good also.
Bitteroot lake
Trolling been good for nice salmon up to 16" try small dodgers with micro squid or small spinners.
50 to 60' water. Jigging can be productive also.
Echo Lake
Still producing good large and smallmouth try senkos or robo worms. Few nice pike in bays still with big swim baits. Look out in main lake for Lake Whitefish 40 to 50' using JT Tackle whitefish spoon or Zimmer Rattle D pastors.
Dickey lake
Still producing salmon early mornings straight out from boat launch in 50 to 60' water jigging has been productive. Few nice smallmouth and rainbows.
Rodgers lake
Grayling action still good. Few nice Cutts try small leech pattern for fly or spin. Small spoons and spinner working well also.
Smith Lake
Great for lots small pike try spinnerbaits or w**dless spoon. Few nice perch too.
Middle Thompson
Pike action has been very good with a few in the 20lb class. Salmon been slower but nice fish trolling up to 16". Look in deep w**d beds for nice perch
Koocanusa Reservoir
Water still low but coming up quickly, some nice rainbows being caught with derby winners being around 8lbs. Trolling Dave's PlugIt Handcrafted Tackle has been productive in purples and blacks. Salmon bite more down on the dam end. Rexford area pretty murky boat launch is open but water was still pretty low
Hungry Horse Reservoir
Been fishing decent for Cutts and few bull trout. Try near tributary creeks for Cutts with small spoons or small plugs. Shore fishing near creeks with salmon eggs do well also.
Rivers and streams did open up last weekend but alot of them are still high and murky.
Great job to Drake and Christian down at Noxon last wekend for the 2nd place win and Anglers of the Year for the high school bass fishing series.
