Fish Camp weekly Fishing Report

Bitteroot lake
Kokanee salmon bite been excellent still. Trolling try small dodgers with wedding spinners or micro hoochies. Jigging try JT Tackle Taildraggers or Swedish pimple orange and pink colors have been good. Boat launching still bit tuff but they are getting in. Try late afternoon for rainbows with planer boards. Daves PlugIt Handcrafted Tackle work well or flys.

Flathead Lake (south end)
Elmo and Big Arm areas doing great for nice perch. Try 20" water in both bays. Northland forage minnows tipped with worms been productive. Smallmouth action has been good all around that area also. Polson bay around the city docks have been productive also for perch and bass. Try near Shelter and Cedar Islands with big flatfish on bottom for lake trout.

Rodgers lake
Still fishing well.for grayling try small leech patterns for flys. Spinning gear small spoons and spinners.

Upper Thompson
Fishing well nice bass, perch and few salmon.

Foy lake
Rainbow fishing been good early mornings for bank fisherman try orange or green power bait. Boats try Berkley flickers shad in rainbow or red craw.

Lake Mary Ronan
Salmon bite still good in mornings try west end near white rock bay or out in front of Mt.Meadows lodge. Jigging pimple in 25' been very productive. Look for perch near camp Tuffit area 12 to 20' water. If you catch the pike.be sure to keep them.

Lower Stillwater
Fishing good for nice perch and lots of smaller pike try west end above the islands.

Blanchard lake
Been good for nice bass and lots of smaller crappie. Jigs and senkos have been good for bass. Try crappie candy for crappies.

Echo lake
Bass fishing been good! Water levels are up nice you can get back into Abbot and Peterson now they are fishing good for bass and crappie.
Try main lake for Lake Whitefish using JT Tackle whitefish jigs or Zimmer Rattle Dzastors.

Swan Lake
Still producing some pike action on south end and a few nice perch. Try trolling shorelines with Flicker shads for nice rainbows 🌈 lake trout actiion near the hwy or river mouth jigging tube baits or spoon have been decent.

McWennergar slough
Crappie and pike action been good for a place close to town. Evenings has been better for crappies. Try jerkbaits and spinnerbaits for pike.

Hungry Horse Reservoir
Fishing well for Cutts near creek mouths. Try small gold or copper little cleos spoon or panther Martin spinners. Larger plugs work well for Bulltrout.

Ashley Lake
Decent numbers of smaller salmon trolling or jigging near the bottom in 40 to 50' been productive try orange swedish pimple or JT Tail daggers. Look for big perch in w**d beds try live leeches they work well.

Fish Camp Weekley Fishing Report

Rodgers lake
Still fishing well for nice graying try small leech patterns in black or brown. Spin fishing try spoons or spinners.

Middle Thompson
Decent salmon action trolling dodgers and small wedding rings or micro hoochies. Nice perch action also along deep w**d edges try live leeches.

Fennon & Church slough
Good pike action on jerkbaits and big spinner baits. Look for crappie on back ends of sloughs.

Bitteroot lake
Excellent salmon bite trolling or jigging. Few nice rainbows trolling late evenings

Loon lake (TCL)
Bass action been good try chatterbaits or jerkbaits. Few nice pike and rainbows.

Thompson river
Good brown's on lower end try small dry flys or spin fishing try roostertails.

Lake Mary Ronan
Salmon bite still good jigging or trolling 25 to 30 ' water near the bottom. Few nice perch also! Be sure to keep the pike they have definitely taken off in there.

Swan Lake
Good pike action south end and in some of the bays. Try trolling shore lines for rainbows with small spoons or flicker shad. Try deep water with flatfish for laketrout.

Echo lake
Bass bite still good try early mornings with jerkbaits or swim baits. Check main lake for whitefish 30 to 40' water.

Ashley lake
Good salmon bite mostly small fish but good numbers. Jigging has been good orange swedish pimples. Try deep w**ds for nice perch.

Van lake
Good rainbows trolling small flicker shads or little cleo spoon.

Flathead lake
Good perch action in Polson bay area. Smallmouth action has been good on the whole lake. Lake trout try Cedar Island area trolling flatfish 80 to 120'. Mid lake bar area 120' with flashers and brads super baits. Delta area trolling has been hit and miss.

Island lake
Good number of nice bass, few pike and some nice perch also hitting.

Be sure to check your regulations for spring bass closures and specific regulations on bodies of water.

Fish Camp Weekly Fishing Report

Lake Mary Ronan
Action still great on salmon, try 20 to 25' water with JT Tackle pink or orange Taildraggers. Swedish pimple also work well in same colors. Try near Mt.Meadows resort area or white rock bay area near the point. Perch action picking up with small tube jigs or craw patterns in 12 to 20' water also. If you catch any pike be sure to keep them.

Ashley Lake
Doing well for limits of salmon mostly on the smaller side but great for the smoker. Few nice perch in the w**ds beds. Try live leeches for the perch.

Loon Lake (TCL)
Good numbers of bass being caught on ned rigs or small jerk baits. Try for rainbows out mid lake trolling early mornings with flicker shads. Crappie and pike action been going also.

Flathead Lake (south End)
Polson bay area been excellent for those big perch smallmouth bass has been great also.

Flathead Lake (North End)
Sommers bay action been good for smallmouth few nice pike. Try delta area trolling for lake trout flasher and flys good. Woods bay early mornings with flat fish on bottom. Mid lake bar trolling flasher and flys or brads super baits good also.

Bitteroot lake
Trolling been good for nice salmon up to 16" try small dodgers with micro squid or small spinners.
50 to 60' water. Jigging can be productive also.

Echo Lake
Still producing good large and smallmouth try senkos or robo worms. Few nice pike in bays still with big swim baits. Look out in main lake for Lake Whitefish 40 to 50' using JT Tackle whitefish spoon or Zimmer Rattle D pastors.

Dickey lake
Still producing salmon early mornings straight out from boat launch in 50 to 60' water jigging has been productive. Few nice smallmouth and rainbows.

Rodgers lake
Grayling action still good. Few nice Cutts try small leech pattern for fly or spin. Small spoons and spinner working well also.

Smith Lake
Great for lots small pike try spinnerbaits or w**dless spoon. Few nice perch too.

Middle Thompson
Pike action has been very good with a few in the 20lb class. Salmon been slower but nice fish trolling up to 16". Look in deep w**d beds for nice perch

Koocanusa Reservoir
Water still low but coming up quickly, some nice rainbows being caught with derby winners being around 8lbs. Trolling Dave's PlugIt Handcrafted Tackle has been productive in purples and blacks. Salmon bite more down on the dam end. Rexford area pretty murky boat launch is open but water was still pretty low

Hungry Horse Reservoir
Been fishing decent for Cutts and few bull trout. Try near tributary creeks for Cutts with small spoons or small plugs. Shore fishing near creeks with salmon eggs do well also.

Rivers and streams did open up last weekend but alot of them are still high and murky.

Great job to Drake and Christian down at Noxon last wekend for the 2nd place win and Anglers of the Year for the high school bass fishing series.
