Tornado Recovery Update

I am thankful to report that some sections of the city are having electricity restored much sooner than expected, thanks to the incredible work and cooperation of our teams and and those from Entergy Arkansas. A game changer. Thank you!
There is a lot of food prepared and available at the middle school parking for those assisting with recovery, and those directly affected by the storms. I encourage you to take a break if you can, and get some fresh food for lunch and dinner today.
Our main focus right now is getting vegetation debris hauled out of the city and out of our way. Please pile up construction and other debris where it is. That is coming next.
Finally, again, stay off the streets. Some are listening but clearly others are not. I’ve asked the state police and others to help with this problem as much as we can. It only hinders our efforts to be blocked by onlookers. Please be respectful and helpful with this need.
This won’t be quick. It won’t be perfect. But it will be done and we will climb out of this. I can already see it and feel it. We are going to recover and be okay, Cave City.
