The jazz world is heartbroken over the loss of the legendary "Saxophone Colossus," Sonny Rollins, at 95. In 1959, at the height of his fame, he took a step back from the spotlight to dedicate himself entirely to practicing—sometimes 15 hours a day—on the Williamsburg Bridge, all in pursuit of perfecting his sound.
