Martha Beckman understands proportion the way a florist understands scale, intuitively, and with consequences. Her porcelain vases and vessels are built to carry full blooms elegantly, refined in form, confident in presence, and never fussy.
Her glazes and patterns are painterly rather than decorative, color combinations that don’t match a bouquet so much as converse with it. Peonies and dahlias settle into her work like they belong there. And when the flowers are gone, nothing is lost. The vessel holds its own.
Beckman works from Milwaukee with the discipline of a product designer, the sensibility of a fine artist and the honesty of someone who works with their hands. It shows in the weight of every piece.

Dear Friends,

May is almost here, which means Mother’s Day is right around the corner. Whether you’re celebrating the moms and mother figures in your life, or hinting at how you’d like to be celebrated, we have a few thoughtful ideas for you.

We’re excited to launch our new spring fragrance this weekend at the Ensemble Market in downtown Evanston, inside the old Bookman’s Alley. Stop by our booth to experience the new scent in person, and shop favorite pieces either at the market or back in store.

For your Mother’s Day celebration, a beautiful mini-cake from Dream Cake Test Kitchen is always a good idea!

This year, we’re offering two options:
– Option 1: A rich, chocolate-forward cake
– Option 2: A lighter, fruit and citrus-forward cake

Both are thoughtfully layered, full of flavor, and beautifully decorated. Each mini-cake serves 6–8 and is $50.

Pre-order here by Tuesday, May 5 to reserve your cake, with pick-up in store on Saturday, May 9 from 1–3pm, just in time for Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 10.
