This happened in the rock shop this passed weekend. I found these stashed under a box in a different part of the store.

So, someone who was in the store is a thief. I can live the rest of my life without the income from that merchandise and it won't change who I am. However, the person who stole these is a thief. That is on them and for the rest of their life they will be a thief.

Nothing you can do to change that.

The really sad part about it is this. When you are in retail you want to trust people and you want to leave them alone to shop and have a system of honor environment. When this happens then all of that changes.... even if it's just a little bit.

That's sad.

BTW, I am not trying to scalp people with that $50 price tag. Mine are only six bucks... ten bucks for XXL. Can't believe how some businesses take such advantage of people.

I have been in Van Buren, Missouri for the past couple of days helping my friend, Danny the Rock Man move his wholesale inventory from one warehouse to another.

Tomorrow is another beautiful day here - sunny with a high temperature of 63º. I'll be coming home Friday with a bunch of new rocks and fossils for the rock shop.... all of which are really cool and some of which are "OH, WOW!!!"

Eureka Rocks will be open around 10 AM today, Christmas Eve. If you have some weirdo that you have difficulty shopping for at the last minute, then stop by. We have a lot of weird stuff to choose from!!

As we approach and will soon embrace the year's end celebratory season I would like to wish all my fb friends and anyone observing from elsewhere a happy season of capitalist plunder by manipulation with guilt and obligatory compensation.

And if you capitulate and thereby surrender your resistance to the forces of seasonal exploitation, then consider coming to the rock shop and purchasing something unique that will not wear out and has the potential to become a family heirloom. I have the oldest and most durable antiques in the village. Some are several billion years old and still function appropriately.
