True story: my brother and I used to ask our mom to play this song for us on her guitar when we were little kids, and she always said yes 🄰
Here’s a pretty late-June harvest from a couple days ago. So many beautiful flowers are coming in from the fields!!

Yesterday we harvested a bunch of feverfew to dry. I’m so excited about this because I purposely planted ā€œtoo muchā€ so that we could dry lots of it. Yes, the single variety is CUTE when it dries!! As you can see, we still have loads of it in the field. We will do 1-2 more weeks of fresh sales and then the rest will get dried and stored away. Such a great crop!

Weekly roundup!
Ok, last week was nuts šŸ˜‚If you have children, are you ok??? Because the May/June hustle is REAL, and my kids can drive themselves places! We have been so busy!!!
On the farm, we are at that exciting phase where all the super early summer crops are just starting to bloom. It feels like every day I see a new flower start to open up. It’s so fun!! We harvested one billion blooms, sent flowers all over our local area AND to Central Oregon, ripped out all kinds of old crops to make way for new ones, and planted the dahlia field (WHEW!)
Last week was also the Oregon State track meet, so the last half of the week was spent at Hayward Field, cheering everyone on. After those two days of craziness, Titus left for a backpacking trip in the Steens Mountains, and Brett, Moses, and I geared up for Camp Agape (which is a summer camp for kids who have a parent who is incarcerated). The guys spent three days at camp, and I pulled one big day there teaching flower arranging classes to around 100 teenagers. It was awesome! But also, we are tired! 🤪Titus is still backpacking, but Brett, Moses, and I went out to dinner last night and then all collapsed into bed before 10 last night.
And it’s a new week (happy Monday!!) Today we will be packing and shipping dahlia tuber orders (did I mention I decided to do a last-minute tuber sale? You can still get tubers on our website!) and delivering florist orders. I am MAJORLY looking forward to a week where I can hopefully eat dinner before 9:30 at night (though summer league basketball starts this week, so who knows…). It’s going to be a beautiful week - WE’VE GOT THIS!! šŸ™ŒšŸ»

Here’s what happened last week!
The weather has been SO beautiful, which has made farming pleasant, even when we spend the entire day pulling gigantic weeds šŸ˜†We harvested the last of the peonies (don’t worry, we still have lots in cold storage!) and have started seeing the first blooms on our early summer crops. I think I say this every week; but there is LOTS to do, and maybe that’s what I like about flower farming. You get tired, but you rarely get bored!
In non-farming news, last week was all about track, and this week will be the same. Titus qualified to compete at the State tournament for discus, and Maycie and her sister qualified for javelin, long jump, and a relay race. So the end of this week will be spent cheering our heads off at Hayward Field! Last week we also attended the sweetest wedding - how crazy is it when your friends’ kids start to get married?!?!?! It was a week full of flowers and friends!
Well, I attempted to take yesterday ā€œoff,ā€ so today I am running around like a crazy person, trying to catch up šŸ˜†I hope you have a beautiful week!

Weekly Update!!
Woah: spring is NUTS!! We survived Mother’s Day and our awesome customers (YOUR local florists!!) made it our best Mother’s Day in nine years of growing. šŸ¤—The amazing weather we’ve been having is pushing our crops right along. All our tunnel crops are done, so we’ve started ripping them out and replacing them with late summer flowers (yay celosia!!!). The same thing is happening in the fields: we are nearing the end of peony season, and the sweet peas and roses have started to bloom right on schedule. There is SO much beauty along with SO much hard, dirty work, and I’m thankful for my small but mighty crew!
Things are just as busy off the farm - Titus is in full-swing with track season, and I’m trying to spend as much time as humanly possible with these gigantic boys who are growing up way too fast.
In case you missed it, Poppy had a BABY!! We’ve named her Penny, and the two of them are just the sweetest little pair. We love watching Penny run around in the field with Poppy trotting concernedly behind her making sure she’s safe.
And finally, I made a YouTube video about soil testing. Videos about dirt will definitely not make me famous šŸ˜‚ (I think it’s my lowest-viewed video to date šŸ˜†), but for those of you who’ve asked me about soil testing, this video might help.
Ok it’s a new week!!! Happy Monday, everyone!

Here’s what happened last week!
FLOWERS!!! This is the most perfect spring weather we have had in a handful of years. The temps have kept the flowers blooming steadily and then BAM everything exploded the week before Mother’s Day, which is PERFECT!! The girls and I have been super busy harvesting and bunching, delivering, and somehow finding time to actually farm (the girls trellised the sweet peas and we got some summer crops planted).
In non-farm news, Titus had his Junior Prom and we celebrated Senior night at the track meet for our favorite Senior ā¤ļøTime is going by so fast it’s crazy!!
Ok guys. It’s the week leading up to Mother’s Day. If you are friends with a flower farmer or florist, please don’t get mad if they don’t return your text or need to reschedule their dentist appointment this week. Our phones are ringing off the hook, we are buried in lists, waking up before our alarms with adrenaline rushing through our veins, and working around the clock to bring the best flowers to all your amazing moms!!! 😘
