HUGE: Democrats BOYCOTT Trump’s State of the Union, refusing to legitimize his lies, and a march toward fascism.

Instead of protest props or interruptions, many are boycotting entirely and attending a rival People’s State of the Union rally on the National Mall, organized by MoveOn and MeidasTouch and hosted by Joy Reid and Katie Phang.

The event will spotlight Americans harmed by Trump’s economic and health care policies, fired federal workers, and immigrants targeted by his administration.

Murphy said, "He’s made a mockery of the State of the Union speech and he doesn’t deserve an audience. He’s going to tell 40 different lies, call Democrats names; he’s going to paper over his corruption; and I don’t feel like what he’s doing dignifies having Democrats there to cloak the speech in a veneer of respectability. These aren’t normal times, and we have to stop doing normal things."

Skipping the speech so far: Sens. Christopher S. Murphy, Chris Van Hollen, Edward J. Markey, and Tina Smith. Reps. Becca Balint, Greg Casar, Pramila Jayapal, and Delia Ramirez.

This is about refusing to normalize what they see as an attack on democratic institutions. Like and Share if you support Democrats boycotting Trump’s State of the Union to stand against fascism.

Jane and Arlene are outside their nursing home, having a drink and a smoke, when it starts to rain. Jane pulls out a condom, cuts off the end, puts it over her cigarette, and continues smoking.
Arlene: What in the hell is that?
Jane: A condom. This way my cigarette doesn't get wet.
Arlene: Where did you get it?
Jane: You can get them at any pharmacy.
The next day, Arlene hobbles herself into the local pharmacy and
announces to the pharmacist that she wants a box of condoms.
The pharmacist, obviously embarrassed, looks at her kind of strangely (she is, after all, over 80 years of age), but very delicately asks what size, texture, brand of condom she prefers.
'Doesn't matter Sonny, as long as it fits on a Camel.'
The pharmacist fainted.
