Not sure how much creating I will get done today. Spike loves to take over my crafting desk and every time I reach for something he thinks I'm coming in with pets and tummy rubs. What's a gal to do, look at the cute face!

Here you go! I thought this was a fun sketch, what did you think?
I've been so busy with life and yard work, I was only able to get two cards made, but I'm going to try to make another one tonight. I think these two turned out really cute and it was fun to try to figure out the paper placement. I'd love to see what you came up with!

Tuesday Crafty Tip: Plant Stamping
Well, this was an interesting experiment! For some reason I thought it would be cool to do an actual stamping of a fern to use with the Stampin'Up! Fern & Flora stamp set. I collected what I thought looked like ferns and got to work. Maybe it's the colors I choose, but I'm not sure if I like the end result or not. What do you think?

Step 1: Collect some plant leaves and small grasses.
Step 2: Add ink the front side of the plants and then either lay onto a a piece of cardstock or lay the cardstock on top of the inked plant.
Step 3: Cover with a scrap piece of paper and carefully rub to transfer the ink.
Step 4: Add more plant stampings, this optional
Step 5: Make a card

I just love to make matching gift sets using coordinating Stampin'Up! products and what could be better to use than the Silly Old Bear Suite for a friend that loves Winnie the Pooh! I created the bag out of 2 sheets of Early Espresso 12x12 cardstock, scoring at 3" on three sides. Glue together the "half" boxes and slide the two half boxes together to create a open top box or bag. Finished bag will be 6" x 9", the perfect size!

A sweet lady at church asked me if I could make her a name tag for an up coming family event. She said it didn't need to be anything fancy, just her name, but I thought it would be fun to make it pretty too. A little computer printing, a little stamping and coloring with Blends brought this project to life. She was SO excited when I handed it to her yesterday that she wore it the rest of the day! Never underestimate what joy your crafty gift can bring to other peoples lives.
