Talk about rarities. I own Act 1 scene 2 of the 1883 Lucia Di Lammermoor scenic art board that was used in the grand Oprah house opening in New York city.
I recieved it as a gift from the Owner of R.A Reed productions in 2016. This piece of artwork is a significant piece of opera history. It is signed and stamped by united scenic artists and scenic designer.
If you zoom in to the right lower corner you will see the autographs.
Lucia Di Lammermoor was the second act ever in the then newly opened Mets opera in October 1883. This is a hand painted direct piece of history from America's premier opera house. Not another one in existence.
In August of 1892 a fire broke out and most of the pieces like this were lost.
I own this piece.
