Thank you quilters. Your generosity allowed Helping Hands to provide 58 quilts to the survivors at Laurie’s House, the children at Sleep in Heavenly Peace and the refugees at the US Committee for Immigrants in Colchester. These beautiful, colorful quilts let the recipients know that someone cares.

If you were part of our 2025 Mystery Quilt class, mark your calendar! The Fall 2025 Mystery Class Reunion is coming up on Saturday, September 12th from 10 to 11:30 am.

Bring your quilt, finished or not. This is a casual, no-pressure gathering to share what you made and see what everyone else came up with. No sign-up needed. Just show up. It would be great to see you all again!

Oops! We are a day late, but Happy International Left-Handers Day! We have a few staff members who are lefties, so we understand the struggle of using right-handed tools. Luckily, Creative Grids has created left-handed rulers. What makes them different? The markings are a mirror image of standard rulers, so lefties no longer have to deal with numbers that are upside down and reversed. If you are a leftie, you know exactly what we are talking about.

Not all rotary cutters are created equal, and the size of your blade matters more than most quilters realize. The small 28mm blade handles detail work and tiny pieces with precision. The large 60mm blade is your best friend when you are cutting through multiple layers or heavier fabric. And the middle 45mm blade is the reliable everyday go-to that earns its place in every sewing room. We carry all three sizes and replacement blades in the shop and online.

Sometimes a girl just needs a new bowl in her life! 😂❤️ The pattern is the Goodness Bowl. Easy to make, easy take along project since it’s sewn by hand. I cheated and topstitched the inner and outer bowls together at the top edge for better security…. and for those who know me well, I’m not a huge fan of handwork. Sewing machines were made for a very good reason! A beautiful new collection has arrived, and we think this one is going to find its way into a lot of projects. Special Delivery by Laundry Basket Quilts for Andover Fabrics is an elegant line of soft woven textures in a palette of serene blues and crisp whites.
