We are very excited to announce our next History Where you Eat event. On Tuesday, June 9th at 5:30 p.m. we will be highlighting The Shoppes at Johnny Appleseed in the town of Nelson-ny. This family owned business started in in the 1970's as an apple orchard, shifted to a furniture store and in 2017 was reborn as a vendor mall which today features over 65 vendors. In 2018 they opened the Apple Kitchen which serves lunch and desserts on Saturday and Sunday. Come and hear the story of this unique Madison County business, try some of Chef Patrick Gilmore's specialties and and enjoy shopping at one of our most unique retail outlets! This Weekend in the Apple Kitchen we have Turmeric Chicken Soup with Rice, French Onion, Italian Wedding and Chili on the menu. Chef Pat made some juicy Pulled Pork for Sandwiches and as per usual you can order any sandwich on the grill, for here or for takeout. It’s a nice day to sit by the pond and enjoy a relaxing beverage. Also, the freezer is stocked with soup and Gabrielle’s Ice cream treats. Check it out!

This beautiful February Weekend we have so much to share from the Apple Kitchen. Chef Patrick once again outdid himself with six soups to choose from. Try our Turmeric Chicken, French Onion, Chili, Beef Stew, Creamy Chicken & Rice, or Butternut Squash. He also made a special Scalloped Potato and Ham dish for our regular and birthday boy Bob Constable. He's 95 today!

Happy Sunday! The Shoppes and The Apple Kitchen are open today. There is a lot of food available for eat-in or take-out. Patrick has French Onion Soup, Turmeric Chicken with Rice, Butternut Squash, Chili and Beef Stew. The heaters are blasting and we hope to get up to 60 today in the store. Ha. Check it out!
