We are a co-op type shop filled with the finest New Hampshire Arts and Crafts, located in a rustic, All items are made by New Hampshire Artisans.

We are an Arts and Crafts LLC that specializes in the finest New Hampshire products. We have a long history of being a shop for N.H. craftsmen starting with the first owners who where born in the late 1800's, Mabel Young Bartlett and her two sisters, who called the shop the "Pine Shop", which had all items made from pine. Valley Artisans members continue to follow Mabel's tradition of marketing lo

cally-made products. It's been through the members of Valley Artisans operating as a cooperative and their commitment and dedication, that we have been able to successfully provide an outlet for local artisans in New Hampshire.

Visit us this month to enjoy flowers all through the shop! We even have plants for sale on the porch! Unusual zinnia plants, foxglove, portulaca, and field grown perennials!!

Paula Akerley
June Artisan of the Month
Windswept Wire

Paula is a Seacoast artisan working from a small home studio on the shores of Little Bay in Newington, NH. She creates wire trees for popular holidays and occasions.

Her trees are meticulously crafted from fine grade aluminum or copper wire with single strands running continuously from the roots to the branch tips. The slate bases are carefully selected from the quarries of Monson, Maine and artistically matched to each of the several styles of trees.

Paula’s additional tree creations with “Little Bay Bumps” are popular during holidays and seasonal occasions. The little Bump’s mission in life is to protect you from things that go bump in the night. Each tree comes with a card about the Little Bay Bump Legend and each Bump’s lifestyle.

Paula is donating one of her wire trees for the monthly drawing at Valley Artisans. We hope you drop by to check out her other trees and take a chance on the drawing!

Valley Artisans is happy to have Kathy Mutch as our May Artisan of the Month.

Kathy started making lovely shell necklaces after a vacation in Florida. Since visiting the Bailey-Matthew's Shell Museum on Sanibel Island and viewing the Sailor's Valentines and their heartfelt messages to their beloved, she was inspired to create them in her own style. It is her wish that the recipient of a shell necklace sees it as an expression of true love from the giver. What a wonderful gift for someone special in your life.

Kathy has donated one of her pieces for our monthly drawing at the shop. Please stop by to see her jewelry, enter the drawing and enjoy a walk through our three rooms of creative locally made items!

After a little taste of spring, we can’t help but feel excited about being back in the shop! We can’t wait to see what our artists and crafters have been working on this winter. We know the shop will be full of wonderful new creations again.
