Got to fish a few days with my brother and he often finds some good fish. With Hebgen flows coming down for the last 6 days the river has come off its peak. Runoff isn’t over but it seems like we are on the downhill side. Maybe have a few fluctuations before it’s all over. Without 3 feet of late snow like we saw last year the river is not likely to un-fishable again. It’s still big though so be careful out there.

It’s just an empty vise now. This evening it will be holding hooks to tie some variations on a classic western fly staple. Join us for Monday night fly tying. I was out sick last week but I’m looking forward to this evening. It’s informal and there are often numerous flies being tied. Something for every level of fly tier.

Also they have really good beer. There’s usually extra materials, numerous tiers showing different flies and techniques. Did I mention the good beer?
