Good afternoon, and hello June! Summer will officially be here in about three weeks. I have always loved Summer and being outdoors, and I love Americana! I have been wanting to make an eagle, and I looked through patterns on Etsy and looked at Pinterest, but didn't really see anything that stood out to me. So, I drew my own pattern to make this eagle perched on a paper mache box. I just love him, I also drew one with a tail to make as a cupboard k**b hanger or ornament. I haven't finished him yet. I also designed the labels for the box and the eagle as well. I painted the box lid navy and the box a colonial red, then distressed and antiqued the box, then added the label to the front that says, "We the people". I attached the eagle to the box lid and added some coconut fibers around him to mimic a nest. I gave his wings a quilted look and he has a glass black bead eye. I painted, distressed and antiqued him as well. The whole piece measures about 8.5" tall by 7.5" wide. It is available for 38.00 plus shipping.

I wanted to show you all another way that I used my stars and stripes background printables. These are little paper mache boxes that I decoupaged, distressed and antiqued. I tied them up with jute and made a jute hanger for them as well. I added them to my booth last week at CCC's Artisan Junction. I have had a busy week this week and didn't get a chance to make anything, but I do have some new printables that I will be listing soon. Good Evening, I just added these candles to my booth at CCC's Artisan Junction. I have wanted to try making candles for a while now. One of my favorite scents is campfire, so I used my Campfire Marshmallows label, and "rusted" the can. I used pure soy wax, the scent is campfire with a hint of smores. I just love it. I also used my sweet Summer Watermelon label and scented that candle in watermelon. If you are local to the area, I hope you will stop by 508 Tennessee Ave. in Etowah, Tn.
