Hello All!

First I just want to say Thank You for the overwhelming support and enthusiasm I have received since announcing the arrival of Common Threads. I am so grateful for all of you!

I also want to let you know that my signage IS coming! I had hoped to have the roadside sign installed this week so you could find me more easily, but it turns out it will be another week until it is ready…

In the meantime, if you haven’t stopped by the store yet, when you do come you can look for a large green turtle sitting next to the driveway of my building - turn into the driveway and there is ample parking out back.

Welcome to Common Threads! My name is Becca Finnegan and I am an Upper Valley native. I have dreamed for many years of having a little shop of my own, and I created this business to serve as a source of joy, beauty and connection in my community. While life can be hard, complicated, and intense, I hope my shop can provide a welcome and inspiring respite for Creatives of all kinds.

I love textiles. When I look at fabric I see possibility. A story to be told, a mood to be captured, a piece to be created. I have worked in earnest to curate the fabrics and products that I carry—finding items that are joyous and playful. I delight in carrying products that have a story to tell! At Common Threads, you will find quality textiles and provisions for many purposes: quilting, apparel, bag making, hand sewing, upholstery, home decor and more. I carry the basics as well! I have a thorough offering of thread, notions, patterns, batting, pillow forms, and more.

In addition to fabric for home sewing, I am pleased to be offering reupholstery services. With over 20 years in the interior design business, I have extensive knowledge of the field. Come peruse an inspiring and extensive library of fabrics and imagine the possibilities for your favorite chair, ottoman, or any piece of furniture that may need a new outfit.

Need an entirely new sofa or chair altogether? I am also carrying a fabulous line of custom ordered upholstery and would be happy to help you select the perfect piece for your home.

The doors are open and I look forward to meeting you when you come to Common Threads!

Store Hours are:
Open: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 10am-4pm.
Closed: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday.
