Opening Event! Elsah Studio Gallery will hold an Open House on Saturday, June 6 from noon - 4pm. New to the Village of Elsah, all are invited to explore this unique cottage at 138 Mill Street, Elsah, Il. From June - October, the Gallery will be open weekends, Saturdays and Sundays, Noon to 4pm.

This new venue for art and antiques will open featuring Six Regional Artist's works: David Coughtry, Dan Kistler, Libby Reuter, Danne Rhaesa, Sun Smith-Forêt, and Jonathan & Jan Wright. Among the items for sale are paintings, drawings, pottery, sculpture, figurative works, glass constructions, abstractions and landscape. Furniture pieces (antique to mid-century), artifacts, and decorative and utilitarian objects, such as quilts, hand-stitched journals and unique glassware will be on display and for sale.

Adorable new items from T&J Woodworks for purchase at Peace Works. The handmade and hand-painted tray with glass airtight jars are perfect for pasta, sugar, flour, cookies, snacks, you name it! The colorful daises will also look great on your kitchen counter.
The gift shop will be open this weekend from noon to 3:00’ish.

A huge thanks to Dea Hoover, Director of "Are We There Yet?" tours and Rod Jackson, our favorite (and most excellent) Elsah tour guide for bringing nearly 55 guests to the Village of Elsah today! A gorgeous day with many smiling visitors sharing stories and enjoying some shopping along with their historic walk through the Village.

Thank you to everyone who spent part of their day in the Village of Elsah. Family, friends, returning customers, and new visitors enjoyed a delicious brunch at State Street on LaSalle before taking a leisurely walk to Peace Works for some Mother’s Day shopping. The sunshine, the company, and the conversations made it a special day for all.

The Village of Elsah Museum is now open from April through October on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 pm. Stop in on your walk through the historic Village.
Built in 1887 as the Village Hall, the building was opened with a Christmas party intended to raise some money for furnishings. Since that time, the Hall has served many purposes, including dramatic presentations, weddings, and organizational meetings. The Hall is now leased by Historic Elsah Foundation and currently serves as a museum documenting the history of the Village of Elsah, Illinois. Founded in 1853, the entire Village is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The original bell was added to the steeple in 1890. The bell was removed in July 2023 and is now displayed at the entry to the museum.

Peace Works will be open Saturday & Sunday from 1-4pm.

Three Rivers Community Farms in Elsah is having their plant sale this weekend!
“This weather is perfect for planting everything; any plants you purchase this weekend will hold for two weeks in their containers (with proper care) till you are ready to plant.”
The plant sale is this Saturday and Sunday 9-4 and next weekend, May 2nd and 3rd, also 9-4.
