New2U is a joint effort of four Elmwood churches: Crossroads Assembly of God Church, Elmwood United Methodist Church, First Presbyterian Church of Elmwood and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Our mission is to serve the needy — and thrifty — in our area with low-cost clothing, housewares and small appliances. We are both new and all-volunteer, so we appreciate your understanding about
limited space and hours. Here’s how it works:
Donations are accepted during normal operation hours, 12:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday. Please do not leave items outside the doors when we are closed. This is a violation of city ordinances. We accept:
Antiques. Baskets. Bedding. Blankets. Children’s books. Clothing. Cookware. Family DVDs (no VHS). Games. Glassware. Hand tools. Jewelry. Kitchenware. Knickknacks. Lamps. Pictures. Plates. Puzzles. Radios. Shoes. Small appliances. Sports equipment. Towels. Toys (children’s toys, not baby toys). Video games and systems. Utensils. We do not accept:
Automobiles and auto parts. Baby cribs, beds or carseats. Batteries. Broken, soiled, wet or mildewed items. Cosmetics. Detergents or cleaners. Drugs. Food. Hazardous chemicals (acids, paints, oils). Large appliances (dryers, washing machines, stoves, refrigerators). Lawn clippings or trash. Lewd or pornographic magazines, videos, DVDs or games. Mattresses. Tires. Televisions or monitors with broken picture tubes. Weapons and ammunition. Please note:
We encourage your donations be washed, ironed, mended or repaired so they are ready to serve the needs of others. Receipts may be obtained when you drop off your items. Pick up requests are not available at this time. Thank you for your generous donations. You will bless many lives!
