Our Story
56 years ago, Gene and Juanita Norris had what some may say was a crazy idea of opening a fireworks stand in Northwest Missouri located near Braddyville, Iowa. Joy and happiness was Gene and Juanita’s first concern as they wanted families to enjoy the day America celebrates its freedom. Gene served in World War II and knew first-hand the cost of freedom. Independence Day was to be full of happiness and remembering those who gave all to make our freedom possible. Sadly, February 11, 2015 Juanita passed away and Gene followed her into heaven on February 13, 2017. They leave behind several generations of firework loving family members who are delighted to be able to carry out Gene and Juanita’s passion for Independence Day and the beautiful fireworks celebrations that go with it. Come visit us at Norris fireworks! We open to the public June 20, 2020. Help us continue the Norris family business that Gene and Juanita worked hard for over 50 years to make successful. Gene and Juanita never knew a stranger and the next generations promise to continue to treat you like family!
