Here’s the start of a success story….. this client that I worked with for several years put down 4 TIMES the recommended amount of glyphosate for 2 years and completely SMOKED his soil. It’s disheartening the amount of people that don’t listen or pay attention to details and directions. PEOPLE PLEASE READ LABELS!!! I consulted with my buddy Aaron at GRO as this is something I have not dealt with, and we had the client go in and broadcast three-way annual clover this spring, and starting a system to get the soil back to being healthy again and as you can see, the deer are approving of what he did. I still see people falling for the scam YouTube process of throwing buckwheat down and thinking that you’re doing something productive. There are so many better methods and better soil building mixes with massive more amounts of tonnage iand nutrient producing plants that it makes me shake my head when I see someone plant straight buckwheat. I would encourage people that don’t believe me or think one thing is the truth because you’ve seen it on a YouTube video to do your own experimentation and do side-by-side plantings. This customer is going to broadcast brassicas into this plot and that will be one whole year with zero tillage zero ground disturbance, and on his way back to healthy soil. I get clients and people that are scared to death to walk their farm or do work in plots as season gets closer. Here’s a picture of me driving into a client’s property and checking the food plot and cameras before we redo it and a three minute separation of a buck that I think is six years old, at least five casually walking out as he heard me come in because he does not associate me with danger at all. We have carved in food plots mowed trails, did invasive control and the owner was all through there two weeks ago, putting cameras up all over the property and this deer has not associated any of it with danger and I know this deer has associated our movements on this farm with improvements to his living condition which long-term is definitely going to help the client possibly get away with making a mistake or two before this deer figures out he’s being hunted if it gets to that point. There’s a lot more to this topic but moving around your property and deer understanding that it’s positive can only help your situation, especially in small parcels…. now before you go running all through your property like a crazy person….There is definitely a fine line in what’s happening, but don’t be afraid to get into your property and do work.

Joe picked up his new Bakcou Scout Jager last night! The Jager hub changes the game for hunting bikes!! I even let him take my personal 500 dollar bike rack home to make sure she got there safe and sound! Is some other place or “box store” gonna do that for ya??? Some people get it….. Justin gets it….some will never “get it”. If you need guidance and are willing to listen, I can 100 percent completely change your property and success. Alfalfa….. I can count on one hand since I’ve started doing this how many people have even asked me about it. It might be something you want to think about. You do need good soil…. But, that should be something you strive for and prioritize on your land to improve your deer herd health( that also means bigger bucks…fyi) if you want to learn how to make every aspect of your property better for deer and give back to Mother Nature….. contact me about a property visit this coming year!
