YaY! Finished this quilt top to donate to a Native American student in Chamberlain, SD. Mom and I will finish it and others in a couple of weeks at in Ellsworth, IA.

Mom and I are enjoying a sewing retreat at Mended Hearts Quilting & Boutique this weekend. We enjoy spending time with each other and the other seamstresses and quilters. Plus, Angela, the owner of Mended Hearts is knowledgeable, smart, funny and feeds us great food.
We’re continuing making quilts to gift to some members of the Lakota tribe in Chamberlain, SD.

Some new succulents planted in wine cork magnets! Lots of research and labor, but oh! Aren’t they adorable? I have hand drilled out the cork’s middle, countersunk holes to hold magnets, waited for succulent cuttings to root, then plant Spanish moss and the succulents into the hole.
Water them by shaking a few droplets of water on them once a week.
